Yes, you can usually see a dentist today in Tracy, Minnesota, if you call during our office hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Call (507) 555-0142, tell us what's wrong, and we hold a same-day time at 212 3rd St Ste 4. Calling first is required. It's what lets us have a room and a dentist ready when you arrive.
The $539.47 figure is an estimated maximum, not a fixed fee. It covers a limited emergency exam, one dental X-ray and a CBCT (3D) scan if the dentist needs one. Your actual charge depends on the imaging you need, and a CBCT scan is not always necessary. Treatment is charged separately and explained before any work starts.

How a same-day appointment works
- You call. During office hours, the front desk answers. Tell them what happened, when it started and how bad it is.
- We give you a time. We set aside time in the schedule for emergencies, so most callers get a time that day.
- You come in. Bring your insurance card, a photo ID and a list of medicines. A dentist examines you, takes the imaging needed, and explains the problem and the cost.
- You're treated. In most cases the treatment happens at the same visit.
What "today" means at different times
Monday to Thursday morning: you'll most likely be seen that day.

Monday to Thursday afternoon: call as early as you can. If there isn't time left before 4:00 PM, especially if you're driving in from Marshall or Slayton, we hold the first time the next morning.
Thursday after 4:00 PM, Friday, Saturday or Sunday: the office is closed. A live answering service picks up, takes your details, and holds Monday's 7:30 AM opening for you.
Weeknights: the answering service holds the first opening the next morning.
When to go to the hospital instead
Some dental problems are medical emergencies. Go to the emergency department at Sanford Tracy Medical Center, or the nearest hospital, if you have:
- Swelling spreading toward your eye or down your neck
- Trouble breathing or swallowing
- Bleeding that won't stop with firm pressure
- A high fever with facial swelling
- A head injury or a possible broken jaw
Hospitals treat spreading infection and serious injuries, but they generally don't treat the tooth itself. Call us after you've been seen.
Same-day services we provide
- Toothache relief
- Emergency tooth extraction
- Emergency root canal
- Abscess treatment
- Broken tooth repair
- Knocked-out tooth
- Wisdom tooth pain and wisdom tooth extraction
- Lost filling or crown
Frequently asked questions
Can I just show up without calling?
No. We don't accept walk-ins. Call (507) 555-0142 first so we can have a room and a dentist ready. It also saves you a drive if the schedule needs a slightly later time.
Is there a dentist open now near me?
Our office is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Outside those hours, our phone is still answered 24/7, and the next opening is held for you.
Do I need to be an existing patient?
No. Most of the people we see for emergencies are new to us. Bring your insurance card if you have one. See the cost and insurance page for payment options.
