When a tooth breaks, swells or keeps you up at night, call (507) 555-0142 and we hold a same-day appointment for you at 212 3rd St Ste 4, Tracy, MN 56175. We're a dental office in downtown Tracy, open Monday through Thursday, and the phone is answered around the clock. Please call before you drive in. We don't take walk-ins, and the call is what has a room and a dentist ready for you.

The $539.47 figure is an estimated maximum, not a fixed fee. It covers a limited emergency exam, one dental X-ray and a CBCT (3D) scan if the dentist needs one. Your actual charge depends on the imaging you need, and a CBCT scan is not always necessary. Treatment is charged separately and explained before any work starts.

Your tooth is treated here, in our own office, by our own team.

Emergency dental services in Tracy, Minnesota

Every service below is done in our office on 3rd Street:

We also take digital X-rays and, when the dentist needs a closer look at the roots or jaw, a CBCT scan, which is a 3D image of the area. It shows things a flat X-ray can miss, like a crack running down a root.

How it works

  1. Call first. Phone (507) 555-0142 and tell us what happened. During office hours the front desk answers. After hours an answering service takes your name, number and the problem.
  2. We hold a same-day time. If you call during office hours, we set aside a time that day. Call at night or over the weekend and the first opening on the next office day is held for you.
  3. Get treated. One of our dentists examines the tooth, takes the imaging needed, explains what's wrong and what it costs, and in most cases treats it at the same visit.

The emergency exam: what it costs

Patients paying out of pocket often want a number before they come in. Ours is an estimated maximum of $539.47 for the visit that finds the problem: a limited emergency exam, one dental X-ray, and a CBCT scan if the dentist decides one is needed. Plenty of visits don't need the CBCT. Treatment is a separate charge, and we tell you what it is before we start.

Insurance and payment

We're in network with Delta Dental Premier (not Delta Dental PPO). With other private dental plans we're out of network, and we submit the claim for you when your plan has out-of-network benefits.

You can pay with cash, check or a major credit card. For larger treatment we offer financing through Cherry, Sunbit, Proceed Finance and CareCredit, and we have an in-house dental savings plan for patients without insurance. The cost and insurance page has the details.

Office hours and after-hours calls

Our chairs are open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We're closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The phone never goes to voicemail. Outside office hours an answering service picks up, writes down your details and holds the first opening for you, which after a weekend means Monday at 7:30 AM. The same-day dentist page explains how that works.

If swelling spreads toward your eye or down your neck, if you have trouble breathing or swallowing, or if bleeding won't stop, go to the emergency department at Sanford Tracy Medical Center first. Hospitals treat spreading infection and serious injuries. They generally don't fix the tooth itself, so call us once you've been seen.

Frequently asked questions

Can I be seen today?

Yes, if you call during office hours, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We hold a same-day time for you. If you call after 4:00 PM or on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the answering service books you into the first opening on the next office day.

Are you open on Friday or the weekend?

No. The office is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The phone is still answered by a real person, who takes your details so the next opening, usually Monday at 7:30 AM, is held for you. For spreading swelling or uncontrolled bleeding, go to the hospital first.

What if the pain eases before my appointment?

Keep the appointment. Pain that fades on its own can mean the nerve inside the tooth has died, while the infection around it keeps going. A short exam and an X-ray tell you which it is, and catching it now usually means a simpler fix than waiting for the next flare.

Do I need to be a current patient?

No. Most people who call us with a dental emergency have never been here before. Call, tell us what's happening, and we'll find you a time. Bring your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medicines you take.
